Description

PFERD offers a wide selection of coated abrasive tools for working on different workpiece geometries and materials. They consist of a base, a base bond and a coating bond for the abrasive grain to adhere to. Depending on the grit size, coated abrasive tools can achieve a high stock removal rate or a very fine surface finish.

The available backing materials differ in properties such as tear strength, flexibility and wear. With the right base, the grinding tool is adapted to the requirements of the intended application: paper is used in the woodworking industry and in trade, e.g. among carpenters, painters and decorators, cloth is predominantly used for metalwork, and vulcanized fibre is highly wear-resistant and is used in various thicknesses predominantly for making fibre discs.

The set contains 20 aluminium oxide A type hook and loop discs in various grit sizes for coarse grinding in industry and professional trades.

Hook and loop discs are suited to grinding larger surfaces. The flexible system, comprising a hook and loop disc and hook and loop disc holder, can also be used on contours. The hook and loop disc holder allows hook and loop discs to be used with commercially available speed-adjustable or slow-running angle grinders with M14 mounting.

Advantages
  • Highly flexible, enabling optimal adjustment to the contour.
  • Quick tool changes thanks to hook and loop system.
  • Suitable for general use on virtually all materials.
  • For getting to know and testing the comprehensive range.
  • Coordinated selection of the most common versions.
Recommendations for use
  • The best grinding results are achieved using speed-adjustable angle grinders.
  • Use grinding oil that is suitable for the material in order to significantly increase the tool life and the abrasive performance of the tools.
Ordering notes
  • Please order hook and loop disc holders separately.
Safety notes
  • The maximum permitted peripheral speed is 32 m/s.
  • For safety reasons, the maximum permitted rotational speed indicated must never be exceeded.
  • Place the hook and loop discs centrally on the holder.
