AMB 2026: PFERD TOOLS has entered the solid carbide sector

Together with a total of 1,195 international exhibitors, PFERD TOOLS presented its hybrid consultancy services and robotics solutions at the AMB in Stuttgart – for the first time amongst suppliers of solid carbide tools.

This year’s AMB marked an important step for PFERD TOOLS in the strategic development of the company. By exhibiting for the first time amongst suppliers of solid carbide tools, PFERD TOOLS underlined its commitment to offering customers comprehensive solutions for modern and increasingly automated manufacturing processes. The outcome of the trade fair appearance was correspondingly positive: high visitor numbers at the stand, numerous in-depth technical discussions and a consistently positive response to the content presented confirmed the chosen focus.

“We achieved our objectives for the trade fair,” summarises Jörg Hesse, CSO at PFERD TOOLS. “The interest in our solutions, the quality of the discussions and the concrete opportunities for joint projects exceeded our expectations.”

The trade fair presentation focused on the themes of process intelligence and process accountability. It became clear that many companies are currently seeking ways to sustainably increase productivity, process reliability and competitiveness. The expanded range of solid carbide tools attracted just as much interest as the robotics solutions presented for automated machining processes. There was particular demand for practical approaches that enable manufacturing processes to be organised more efficiently and relieve the burden on staff in a more targeted manner.

At the same time, through discussions with users, PFERD TOOLS gained valuable insights into the current market sentiment. The discussions made it clear that a shortage of skilled workers, rising cost pressures and the desire for greater productivity are concerns shared by many manufacturing companies. Against this backdrop, PFERD TOOLS’ holistic approach – which involves viewing processes not in isolation but as a whole and taking responsibility for their optimisation – met with great interest. Visitors also confirmed the urgency of systematically tapping into existing productivity reserves. Consequently, numerous discussions led to concrete proposals for further consultancy and joint projects extending beyond the trade fair.

For PFERD TOOLS, AMB has proved to be the ideal platform for direct engagement with the industry. The trade fair’s high national and international profile provided the perfect setting to present the company’s expanded focus and further refine its positioning as a partner for comprehensive manufacturing solutions. At the same time, it became clear that modern tooling and automation concepts remain of great importance to the industry for boosting efficiency and competitiveness.

The company also regards the decision to exhibit for the first time amongst suppliers of solid carbide tools as a success. The new positioning opened additional synergies and offered visitors direct access to PFERD TOOLS’ expanded expertise in the fields of solid carbide and robotics.

“Admittedly, our expectations for this trade fair appearance were high,” admits Jörg Hesse. “Following the expansion of our portfolio and the development of our expertise in the fields of solid carbide tools and robotics, we not only felt well prepared but were, in a sense, eager to present this to the industries – with success, as we can now see. We look forward to following up on the numerous contacts and project ideas that emerged from our discussions and working together with visitors to improve productivity and competitiveness.”
